Vintage wooden skiing gnome figure pipe skis Kurt Adler style 1960s Christmas Gonk

This is a charming, mid-century vintage Scandinavian-style wooden skiing gnome (often called a Gonk or Tomte). This delightful piece dates back to the 1960s-1970s and is styled very closely to the popular folk art imports of Kurt Adler and Shackman. 

The figurine is crafted from turned wood and features classic painted google eyes, a soft faux-fur beard, painted grey wooden skis, and a tiny signature wooden smoking pipe. He is wearing his original bright yellow felt pointed hood.

Approx 2 1/2" tall. Great vintage condition for its age. The wood base and skis are sturdy, and the hand-painted eyes are fully intact. The felt hood shows light dust consistent with age, and the pipe is se4curely attached. Please review all photos for eact cosmetic condition.
